It’s 7.22pm on the eve of Milan-Sanremo. Earlier today I was listening to a podcast radio show during which someone explained they asked aloud “for a sign” that a relative of theirs was safe. She explained when she did this suddenly a dog would bark or something else would happen and she’d take comfort from these “signs”.

My mind wandered and I thought OK and asked aloud for a sign as to who would win Milan-Sanremo. No dog barked but within about 20 seconds a van overtook me with “Mondory” written on the side.

Ag2r’s Lloyd Mondory starts Milan-Sanremo tomorrow with the number 25 on his back.

This is such a coincidence that if by some freak event Mondory were to win tomorrow nobody would be believe the tale. So here is the timestamp just in case.
